STOPLAMP Switch: Installation
- Install stoplamp switch retainer into lower brake pedal assembly hole with retainer arrow pointing in the 12 o'clock position.
- Inspect retainer to insure that locking tabs locked into position and retainer is in place. Install stoplamp switch.
- Position switch into retainer with electrical connectors pointing to the one o'clock position.
- Slide switch in retainer until plunger is fully depressed into barrel.
- Rotate switch clockwise until travel stop has been reached (approximately 60 degrees).
- Inspect stoplamp switch to ensure switch is properly locked into stoplamp switch retainer with stoplamp switch electrical connectors pointing to the 3 o'clock position. Connect stoplamp switch electrical connectors.
- Inspect stoplamps for proper operation.
CAUTION:
Do not depress brake pedal assembly during stoplamp switch installation. Depressing brake pedal will cause a brake drag condition.
