Control Lever Boot: Removal
Disable SIR system. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. Remove console. See CONSOLE . Unclip the boot assembly from the plastic retainer in the rear of the shifter control assembly by pulling rearward and upward on the boot. See Fig 1 . Unclip the boot assembly from the 2 plastic retainers in the front of the shifter control assembly and remove the boot.
