Removal & Installation: Console: Installation

  1. Apply parking brake. Adjust front seats to most rearward position. Recline driver's and passenger's seat backs as far down as possible.
  2. Place transaxle in Neutral. Hold front end of console down and rear end up. Position all harnesses so they can be accessed.
  3. Maneuver console over gear selector lever and past brake lever. See Figure . Connect power outlet electrical connector. Install rear console screws and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Install front console screws and tighten. See Figure . Tighten front console screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Install left and right extension panels by inserting hinges into console. See Figure .
  5. Rotate closed and push in at dual lock locations. Connect window switch assembly connectors (if equipped). See Figure . Install window switch assembly or storage tray (depending on equipment). Enable SIR system. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
