NOTE: Before performing the following tests, check battery condition, engine cranking speed and for adequate fuel in tank. After fault has been isolated and repairs have been completed, perform diagnostic system check. See DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK - ENGINE CONTROLS in appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article.
