Repositioning Roll Connector

NOTE: If roll connector is not properly oriented to steering column assembly, it will be damaged.
IMPORTANT: If yellow tab is inadvertently removed during installation or removal, and coil hub has been rotated, the roll connector must be repositioned.
  1. Gently rotate roll connector hub clockwise  with tab removed until slight tension is present.
  2. Gently rotate roll connector hub counter clockwise  (count approximately five revolutions) until slight tension is present.
  3. Gently rotate roll connector hub clockwise  one half of the number of revolutions counted in step 2 (approximately 2.5 times).
  4. Rotate smallest distance required to align yellow tab.
  5. Install yellow tab (2). Use tape if tab is unavailable.
