Fuel Sender Assembly: Removal

  1. Release fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Drain fuel tank. See FUEL TANK DRAINING . Lower fuel tank. See FUEL TANK . Remove fuel pump module. See FUEL PUMP MODULE . See Figure.
  2. Grasping fuel pump module with both hands and placing both thumbs at bottom of fuel sending unit, firmly press sender toward the top of the module to disengage the bottom attachment tang.
