Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect all the harness connectors at the Ignition Control Module (ICM). See Figure or Figure . Note position of spark plug wires for installation. Disconnect spark plug wires from ignition coils. Remove screws securing the coil assemblies to ignition control module.
  2. Remove coils from ignition control module. Remove fasteners securing ignition control module assembly to engine. Remove ignition control module from bracket.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten ignition coil screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Connect the spark plug wires to the ignition coils.
