Powertrain Control Module: Removal

  1. Record preset radio stations.
  2. Turn ignition off.
  3. Disconnect negative battery cable.
  4. Disconnect PCM J1 and J2 harness connectors. See Figure .
  5. Release two retaining clips on forward edge of PCM mounting bracket.
  6. Remove PCM by lifting forward edge of PCM and sliding toward front of vehicle.
