Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Saturn LW300, 2003 Saturn LW200, 2003 Saturn L300, and 2003 Saturn L200. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE in Battery.
  2. Remove the I/P compartment. Refer to Compartment Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

  3. Remove the right side heater duct assembly retainer.
  4. Remove the right side heater duct assembly.

  5. Disconnect the recirculation actuator electrical connector.

  6. Remove the recirculation actuator bracket screws.
  7. Remove the recirculation actuator assembly from the shaft by pulling the assembly towards the front of the dash.
