Liftgate Latch Assembly: Removal

  1. Remove liftgate trim panel. Refer to LIFTGATE TRIM PANEL - WAGON .
  2. Remove two electrical connectors.
  3. Remove liftgate latch assembly retaining bolts.
  4. Pull down into view.
  5. Disconnect latch cable from latch assembly by using a small screwdriver to disengage clip.
  6. Remove latch assembly.
