Front Shoulder Belt Guide: Installation

  1. Install safety belt guide with fastener. Tighten safety belt guide fasteners to 1.5 N.m (13 in-lbs).

  2. Position shoulder belt behind shoulder belt retainer.

  3. Attach center pillar molding assemblies to vehicle by firmly pushing at clip locations.
  4. Install B-pillar molding fastener and plug. Tighten b-pillar molding fastener to 10 N.m (89 in-lbs).

  5. Install retractor fastener. Tighten retractor fastener to 35 N.m (26 ft-lbs).
  6. Install retractor plug.

  7. Install height adjuster fasteners. Tighten height adjuster fasteners to 35 N.m (26 ft-lbs).

  8. Install center pillar outside weatherstrip.

  9. Install carpet retainer by gently pushing at attaching clip locations.

  10. Install weatherstrip over center pillar lower molding and rocker panel molding using a flat blade tool.

  11. Function shoulder belt to ensure proper operation.
  12. Place front seat in original position.
