Installation Procedure

  1. Install the ignition lock cylinder into the lock cylinder housing. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement .

  2. Install the lock cylinder case housing to the steering column.

  3. Install the lock cylinder case housing clamp and new shear bolts.
    IMPORTANT: Rock the lock cylinder case back and forth to ensure it is seated into the lock bolt cutout. Tighten the shear bolts evenly.
  4. Tighten the shear bolts until the heads break off.

  5. If applicable, connect the ignition lock cylinder solenoid harness connector.
  6. Connect the ignition switch harness connector to the lock module.

  7. Install the multifunction switch housing . Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Switch Housing Replacement 
  8. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil. Refer to SIR COIL ASSEMBLY .
  9. Install the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement .
  10. Install the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement .
