Muffler Hanger Bracket: Installation

Install muffler hanger bracket and fasteners.
Torque:

Muffler Hanger Bracket: 25 N.m (19 ft-lbs)
Install muffler hanger and fastener.
Torque:

Muffler Hanger Bolt: 12 N.m (9 ft-lbs)

NOTE: Make sure that after installing the muffler hanger bracket that the system has not shifted rearward allowing contact between the hanger bracket bolt (1) and the hanger block. This will cause noise; loosen the muffler strap and shift forward on muffler to eliminate contact - retighten.

Install muffler, muffler strap and tighten.
Torque:

Muffler Strap around Muffler: 22 N.m (16 ft-lbs)
