Diagnostic Aids

To locate an intermittent problem, use scan tool to command COOLING FAN RELAY on, while monitoring COOL FAN REL. - HIGH VOLT test. When a fault (short to voltage or shorted solenoid) exists, scan tool will display TEST FAIL.

Test will fail only when device is being commanded on and voltage at PCM is high.

Cooling fan relay coil resistance should be 75-105 ohms.
