DOHC Engine
- Remove air intake tube at throttle body. Observe position of throttle plate. Adjust cruise control cable by depressing at locations shown to release cruise control cable adjuster. See Fig 1
. Slide cruise control cable adjuster away from cruise control module. Slide adjuster toward cruise control module until accelerator cable spring just touches cruise control cable adjuster. Ensure accelerator cable spring is not compressed.
- Slide cruise control cable adjuster toward cruise control module, about one click, until accelerator cable spring is compressed .040-.079" (1-2 mm) and no accelerator cable free play exists. Ensure throttle blade is fully closed.
