Diagnostic Procedure

  1. Perform Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system check. See SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING. Roll windows down. Attempt to lock doors using door interior switches. If doors lock with both driver and passenger door switches, go to next step. If doors do not lock with both driver and passenger door switches, check lock relay located in instrument panel fuse block. If lock relay is okay, replace BCM. See appropriate BODY CONTROL MODULES article. Repeat SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  2. Using scan tool, monitor ALL LOCK FEEDBACK while commanding lock relay on and off. If feedback does not follow command, repair open in Gray wire between lock relay and door lock motors. Repeat SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING. If feedback follows command, problem is intermittent, see DIAGNOSTIC AIDS  . Repeat SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
