Input Shaft: Inspection

Using depth micrometer or appropriate rod stock, measure depth of input shaft inner delivery tube bushing. See Figure . Bushing should be 5.00-5.25" (127.00-133.36 mm) from 1st clutch end of input shaft. If bushing is not located as specified, input shaft must be replaced.
