Front Wiper Motor & Front Wiper Control Module: Installation
NOTE:
To install NEW module, ensure position of crank arm is at 12 o'clock to ease installation. If a NEW wiper motor is installed, remove wiper motor crank arm from new motor and discard.
- Install wiper motor to wiper module. Press transmission links onto wiper motor crank arm firmly by hand. Ensure position of transmission links are not bottomed on crank arm ball.
- Partially install wiper module assembly, and connect wiring to wiper motor and module frame. Tighten outboard bolt first, inboard second and nuts last. Tighten bolts to 160 INCH lbs. (18 N.m). Tighten nuts to 71 INCH lbs. (8 N.m). Turn wiper switch on momentarily. Once wiper switch is turned off, wiper mechanism should be in Park position with crank arm in 9 o'clock position.
- Connect washer hose to nozzle. Install air inlet grille. Install wiper arms. Install wiper module fasteners under instrument panel top cover. Move A/C defroster duct to original position and tighten screws. Install instrument top cover panel. Test wiper operation.
