Rear Axle Control Arm: Installation

  1. Raise the control arm into the vehicle and install the new rear axle control arm bolts.
    NOTE: Do not tighten fastener at this time.
  2. Install rear axle control arm bracket using new bolt. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Raise the control arm into the vehicle and install the new rear axle control arm bolts.
  4. Install upper and lower rear suspension control arms to rear axle control arm bracket using new bolts and nuts. Tighten rear axle control arm bracket-to-body bolts. Tighten upper and lower control arm bolts to rear axle control arm bracket. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  5. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Tighten nuts and bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Align rear wheels. See appropriate SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES article in WHEEL ALIGNMENT.
