Liftgate Does Not Open

  1. Check BODY (10-amp) fuse is located in instrument panel junction block. Check for short or open in Black wire between liftgate release motor harness connector and left rear body ground splice pack Black 10-pin connector terminal "J". Check for short or open in Orange wire between instrument panel junction block Gray 68-pin connector terminal B6 and liftgate release switch connector.
  2. Check for short or open in Gray wire between liftgate release switch and liftgate release motor. Check liftgate release switch operation. See LIFTGATE RELEASE SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTS.
  3. Check liftgate release motor operation. See LIFTGATE RELEASE MOTOR  under COMPONENT TESTS. Check liftgate latch striker spring operation. See LIFTGATE LATCH STRIKER SPRING  under COMPONENT TESTS.
