Differential Assembly: Reassembly

  1. Press NEW side bearings onto case. Ensure bearings are seated. Roll thrust liner into differential housing. Hold side gears in position in housing.
  2. Install 1st pinion gear on tabbed side of thrust liner and pull thrust liner over to hold pinion gear in place. Place 2nd pinion gear opposite 1st and pull thrust liner out until pinion shaft hole in cover and pinion gears line up.
  3. Rotate thrust liner and pinion gears into housing until they line up with pinion shaft bore in housing. Install pinion shaft and drive in NEW pinion shaft lock pin. Ensure pin is flush with case.
