Throttle Body (SFI): Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure using NEW gasket. Tighten throttle body retaining bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Refill cooling system (if drained).
  2. If installing NEW Idle Air Control (IAC) valve, ensure IAC pintle length setting is adjusted before installation (if applicable). See IDLE AIR CONTROL (IAC) VALVE. Adjust idle speed and TP sensor (if removed, and if adjustable). See ADJUSTMENTS article.
