Fuel Gauge

Fuel gauge can be tested by using scan tool to control gauge through selectable test points. For each of the test points selected, pointer should be within a pointer's width of tick marks on gauge. If pointer is outside of range, go to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER RESISTANCE CHECK. If gauge is inoperative, go to SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM  for fuel gauge DTCs.
