Differential Assembly: Disassembly

Drive out pinion shaft lock pin from differential housing and slide out pinion shaft. Remove pinion gears by rotating out of housing. See Figure. Remove side gears and thrust liner from housing. Remove differential side bearings with 2-jaw puller. Shield bearing to protect against bearing breakage.
