Dome Light Does Not Flash When Alarm Is Activated
- Perform Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system check. See RKE SYSTEM CHECK under SYSTEM TESTS. Ensure dome light switch is in DOOR position. While observing dome light, open and close all doors one at a time. If light illuminates when door is opened, go to next step. If dome light does not illuminate, check for faulty bulb. If bulb is okay, see ILLUMINATION/INTERIOR LIGHTS article.
- Depress Red PANIC button on RKE transmitter. Horn should sound and dome light should flash. If dome light flashes, system is okay. If dome light does not flash, go to next step.
- Using DVOM connected to ground, backprobe RKE module connector terminal "S" (White wire). If battery voltage is present, replace RKE module. If battery voltage is not present, repair open in White wire between RKE module and dome light. Repeat RKE SYSTEM CHECK under SYSTEM TESTS.
