Brake System Warning Indicator

The BRAKE system warning indicator comes on as a bulb check when ignition is turned on. The indicator is controlled by a low brake fluid switch, ABS module or parking brake switch. Indicator will come on if brake fluid level is low, a mechanical malfunction occurs in the ABS system or the parking brake is engaged. Indicator will remain on until ignition switch is turned off, brake fluid level is returned to normal, ABS system malfunction is repaired or parking brake is released.
