PURPOSE

Due to a design change in the 1995 ignition lock cylinder, the Saturn key code book supplied by Ilco-Unican for Saturn Retailers as a part of the key cutting equipment has been revised. In 1991-1994 vehicles, the ignition lock cylinder uses tumbler positions 1 through 6. See Fig 1 . In 1995 vehicles, the ignition lock cylinder uses tumbler positions 1 through 7.

NOTE: 1995 vehicle ignition locks require new service part numbers. Refer to chart on the following page for part usages.

In addition, some Saturn key code books supplied to recently opened Retailers have been misprinted in the door code column. The door lock cylinders for 1991-1995 vehicles use tumbler positions 2 through 6. These key code books incorrectly indicate positions 1 through 5 for the door lock cylinder. If any lock cylinder is assembled using the incorrect tumbler positions, the key will not function in the lock.

Revised Saturn key code for 1991-1995 vehicles is included with this mailing. Please distribute this Saturn key code to the appropriate person and discard the Saturn key code you currently have in your retail facility. This will prevent any possibility of the incorrect Saturn key code being used.
