ACP Data Displays & Status Lights

  1. While in ACP system level in SERVICE MODE, indicators on climate control panel display status of certain modes. Different modes of operation are shown by status light turning on or off. Status lights are as follows:
    • AUTO indicator lights whenever ACP commands recirculation solenoid to energize.
    • Front defroster status indicator lights when ACP requests PCM to engage A/C compressor clutch.
    • Rear defogger status indicator lights whenever ACP senses low refrigerant pressure switch is open. Light should remain off if system is fully charged and properly controlled. Light comes on when outside temperature drops to about -5°F (21°C).
    • LO status indicator lights when ACP commands defrost solenoid to energize.
    • HI status indicator lights when ACP commands air-up solenoid to energize.
    • DEFOG status indicator lights when ACP commands air-down solenoid to energize.
  2. During trouble shooting, data displays can be used to compare a vehicle with problems to a properly functioning vehicle. Following are brief summaries of parameters.
