Trouble Shooting
CAUTION:
When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES
article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.
- Check for blown fuses in underhood junction block or in instrument panel junction block. Check for open or short in instrument panel harness ground circuits located behind instrument cluster. Check for open or short in instrument cluster wiring circuit.
- Check resistance of instrument cluster gauge circuits. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER GAUGE CIRCUIT RESISTANCE table. Check resistance of instrument cluster indicator switches. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER INDICATOR SWITCHES RESISTANCE table.
- Ensure all electrical connections are clean and tight. Ensure battery is fully charged. Repair or replace components and/or wiring as necessary.
