Description & Operation

Fan for A/C equipped vehicles is 11.6" (290 mm) in diameter with 5 blades to provide airflow through radiator/condenser.

Fan is driven by an electric motor attached to radiator support. Fan motor is activated by a coolant temperature switch. Vehicles with A/C have a second switch which can activate circuit.

Non-A/C vehicles use a fan with 4 blades which have curled tips to minimize noise. A fan shroud is used on both A/C and non-A/C vehicles to prevent recirculation of air around fan.
