Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

When the PCM receives an A/C request signal from the A/C switch, it energizes the A/C control relay unless one or more of the following conditions exist:

• High engine coolant temperature.
• Wide open throttle.
• Excessive or insufficient engine speed.
• Excessive or insufficient high side pressure.
• Low ambient air temperature.
