Disabling & Activating Air Bag System: Notes

WARNING:
SDM can maintain sufficient voltage to cause deployment for up to 10 seconds after the ignition switch is turned "OFF", the battery is disconnected or the fuse powering the SDM is removed. Many of the service procedures require removal of the AIR BAG fuse and disconnecting the deployment loops to avoid accidental deployment.
CAUTION:
When the battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES
