Passenger Compartment Discriminating Sensor: Removal

  1. Before proceeding, follow air bag service precautions. See SERVICE PRECAUTIONS. Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
  2. Passenger compartment discriminating sensor is located under center console. Remove console and front seats. Remove rear floor air duct. Remove sensor CPA clip. Disconnect electrical connector.
  3. Lift carpeting to access electrical harness routing conduits. Remove sensor mounting bolts. Snap conduits open to remove sensor wiring. Remove sensor. See Fig 1 .
