Code 26 - TCC Stuck On: Description

PCM should release TCC by opening ground circuit of TCC line actuator. PCM monitors TCC by comparing engine speed to turbine speed. If PCM detects the same engine-to-turbine speed after TCC is commanded off, PCM will set code 26.

NOTE: Test numbers refer to numbers on diagnostic chart.
  1. If present, go to information flag listed. Using flow charts, check for possible causes of trouble code.
  2. See ACTUATOR QUICK CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTICS. Ensure clicking sound from TCC line actuator is similar to clicking sound of other line actuators.
