Code 25 - No TCC: Description

PCM should apply TCC by closing ground circuit of TCC line actuator. PCM monitors TCC by comparing engine speed to turbine speed. If PCM detects a different engine-to-turbine speed with TCC clutch applied, PCM will set code 25.

NOTE: Test numbers refer to numbers on diagnostic chart.
  1. If present, go to information flag listed. Using flow charts, check for possible causes of trouble code.
  2. See ACTUATOR QUICK CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTICS. Ensure clicking sound from TCC line actuator is similar to clicking sound of other line actuators.
  3. This step checks for TCC enable valve operation. If TCC enable valve is not stuck, check valve body for leak, low line pressure or damaged input shaft "O" ring. If TCC enable valve is stuck, apply oil pressure will be exhausted to transaxle oil pan.
