Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the connector on the K60 steering column lock control module.
  2. Measure the resistance between pins 6 and 7 in the female connector. The value should be less than 10 Ω.

==> If the resistance is higher than 10 Ω, check the circuit for an open circuit or high resistance.

  3. Connect the test lamp between pin 5 and ground. Check that the test lamp illuminates.

==> If the lamp does not illuminate, check the circuit for a short to battery or an open circuit/high resistance.

  4. Connect a test lamp between pin 3 in the female connector and ground, the lamp should illuminate.

==> If the lamp does not illuminate, check the circuit for a short to battery or an open circuit/high resistance.

  5. Measure the voltage between pin 4 and ground. The voltage should be less than 0.3 V.

==> If the voltage is higher than 0.3 V, check the circuit for a short to battery.

  6. Disconnect the connector on the K84 keyless entry control module.
  7. Measure the resistance between pin 4 on the K60 steering column lock control module and pin 1 on the K84 keyless entry control module. The resistance should not exceed 5 Ω.

==> If the resistance is higher than 5 Ω, check the circuit for an open circuit or high resistance.

  8. If all the test results are normal, test or replace the K60 steering column lock control module. If the DTC returns, replace the K84 keyless entry control module
