Tire Pressure Sensor Learn

NOTE: When the TPM module or TPMS sensor is replaced or the tire dimensions change, the TPM module must be calibrated using a Tech2.

When vehicle speed increases to more than 13 mph (20 km/h), the TPMS sensors go into active mode. The first stage of the active mode is a teach-in procedure which takes approximately 10 minutes. During this time, the TPM module learns which TPMS sensor corresponds to which tire. If the TPM system cannot learn the location of a TPMS sensor, the system assume the previously learn location is correct. If the TPM module cannot communicate with 1 or more within 10 minutes, the TPM module instructs the MIU to display the warning message "SYSTEM FAULT". When this warning message is displayed see appropriate manufacturer service information.

After the teach-in procedure is complete the TPMS sensor remain in active mode, until the vehicle is less than 13 mph (20 km/h).
