Installation Procedure

Apply bodywork repair through structural adhesive to body (2). Refer to STRUCTURAL ADHESIVE BODY REPAIRS .

Apply 1K-Adhesive on the sound deadener (1). Refer to CHEMICAL PRODUCTS .
Position the rocker panel.

Verify the fit of the rocker panel.
Clamp the rocker panel into position.
NOTE: Refer to WELDED, BRAZED, AND RIVETED JOINT SPECIFICATIONS .

Spot weld (1) the rocker panel accordingly.

MIG-braze (2) the rocker panel.
Grind MIG brazed seams.
Apply the sealers and anti-corrosion materials to the repair area, as necessary. Refer to ANTI-CORROSION TREATMENT AND REPAIR (BASE) or ANTI-CORROSION TREATMENT AND REPAIR (CORROSION PROTECTION) .
Install all related panels and components.
Install the front floor panel carpet. Refer to FRONT FLOOR PANEL CARPET REPLACEMENT .
Install the front side door weatherstrip - body side. Refer to FRONT SIDE DOOR WEATHERSTRIP REPLACEMENT (BODY SIDE) .
Install the rear compartment floor panel carpet. Refer to REAR COMPARTMENT FLOOR PANEL CARPET REPLACEMENT .
Install the rear side door weatherstrip - body side. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR WEATHERSTRIP REPLACEMENT .
Install the rear side door. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR REPLACEMENT .
Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION AND CONNECTION .
Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR DISABLING AND ENABLING .
