Right Side Object Sensor Malfunction

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the B94R Side Object Sensor - Right.
  2. Test for less than 5 Ω between the ground circuit terminals listed below and ground:
    • Terminal 3
    • Terminal 4
  3. If greater than the specified value, test the appropriate ground circuit for an open circuit/high resistance.
  4. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the B+ circuit terminal 7 and ground.
  5. If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
  6. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the B94L Side Object Sensor - Left.
  7. Ignition ON, test for less than 0.3 V between the serial data circuit terminal 5 and ground.
  8. If greater than the specified value, test the serial data circuit for a short to voltage.
  9. Test for infinite resistance between the serial data circuit terminal 5 and ground.
  10. If not the specified value, test the serial data circuit for a short to ground.
  11. Test for less than 5 Ω between the serial data circuit terminal 5 at the B94L Side Object Sensor - Left harness connector and the serial data circuit terminal 5 at the B94R Side Object Sensor - Right harness connector.
  12. If the value is greater than the specified value, test the serial data circuit for an open circuit/high resistance.
  13. If all circuits test normal, replace the B94R Side Object Sensor - Right.
