Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the KR73 RUN/CRNK relay.
  2. Test for less than 5 Ω between the ground circuit connection 1 (85) and ground.

==> If resistance is greater than the specified value, test the ground circuit for an open circuit/high resistance.

  3. With the ignition ON, check that the test lamp lights between B+ pin 3 (30) and ground.

==> If the test lamp does not light, check the voltage feed circuit for break/high resistance.

  4. With the ignition ON, check that the test lamp lights between pin 2(87) and ground.

==> If the test lamp does not light, check the circuit for break/high resistance. If the test shows that the circuit is normal, replace the body electronic module K9.

  5. With the ignition OFF, connect the KR73 RUN/CRNK relay.
  6. Disconnect from P16 Instrument Cluster.
  7. With the ignition ON, check that the test lamp lights between instrument cluster pin 19 and ground.

==> If the test lamp does not light and the fuse is intact, check the circuit for break/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the KR73 RUN/CRNK relay. If the fuse is defective, check the cable for a short to ground. If the test shows that the circuit is normal, replace the instrument cluster P16.

  8. If all circuits test with normal values, replace Instrument Cluster P16.
