Transmission Control Module Scan Tool Output Controls

Output Control Description
Brake Band Pressure Control Solenoid Valve Transmission selector switch in P or N. Command the TCM brake band pressure Increase or Decrease.
Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Valve 1
  • The TCM commands the Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Valve in order to increase and decrease the clutches.
  • The solenoid remains increase until commanded decrease, and vice versa. When the output control is exited, the solenoid state is determined by the TCM.
  • When the ignition is ON, and the engine is OFF, there are no limits to this control.
Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Valve 2
Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Valve 3
Line Pressure Control Solenoid Valve
  • The scan tool is used to request pressure in increments of 207 kPa (30 PSI) from 0-1 862 kPa (0-270 PSI). The TCM will then command the solenoid to achieve the requested pressure.
  • When the ignition is ON, and the engine is OFF, the pressure request may be controlled within calibrated limits. There are no limits to the output control when the engine is OFF.
Solenoid Valve 1
  • The TCM commands Solenoid Valve 1 and Solenoid Valve 2 Active and Inactive.
  • When the ignition is ON, and the engine is OFF, there are no limits to this control. The solenoid remains Active until commanded Inactive, and vice versa. When the output control is exited, the solenoid state is determined by the TCM.
Solenoid Valve 2
TCC Solenoid Valve Transmission selector switch in P or N. Command the TCM TCC solenoid valve Increase or Decrease.
