Passenger Sensor Preload System Test

  1. Clear the passenger seat (the system is sensitive to conducting material).
  2. Use the scan tool to look for DTC B0081 in the history. If the test fails or DTC B0081 11 has been set, check that the seat is empty. Perform passenger presence system programming again. If diagnostics fail again, check that the detection mat is positioned on top of the heating pad. Once diagnostics are complete, switch the ignition OFF.
  3. Perform DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK - VEHICLE  after the preload test is complete to ensure that the system is operating properly.
