To remove

  1. Raise the car.
  2. Drain the brake fluid from the master cylinder via the bleed nipples on the front brake calipers. Use brake bleeder 88 19 096 BLEEDING EQUIPMENT .
  3. Lower the car.
  4. Place a cover over the splash guard to protect it from any brake-fluid spillage.
  5. V6 diesel engine:  Remove the turbocharger heat shield.
  6. Detach and move aside the electrical centre.

  7. Blow the brake pipe connections clean using compressed air.
  8. Unplug the connector from ESP unit.
  9. Detach the brake pipes between the ESP unit and master brake cylinder.

  10. Disconnect the brake pipes from the ESP unit.
  11. Remove the ESP unit.
