Converter Case: Removal

Remove the transmission assembly from the vehicle.

Extract the torque converter clutch assembly.

Remove the input shaft.

Lift-up lever behind the connector and disconnect it from stay.

Disconnect inhibitor switch connector from stay.

  1. Transmission harness
  2. Inhibitor switch harness

Remove the oil charge pipe.

Remove the oil cooler inlet and outlet pipes.

Lightly tapping the converter case with plastic hammer, separate the transmission case and converter case.

NOTE:
  • Be careful not to damage the oil seal and bushing inside the converter case by the oil pump cover.
  • Be careful not to lose the rubber seal.

Remove the seal pipe if it is attached. (Reusing is not allowed.)

  1. Seal pipe

Remove the differential assembly.

Remove the oil seal from converter case.
