Belt TENSIONER: Installation
- Refit the belt tensioner. Tighten to 33 Ft. Lbs. (45 N.m).
- Relieve the tension of the belt tensioner with drawbar handle and insert a 3 mm drill bit, for example, into the hole.
- Fit the belt, check its position on all pulleys and remove the drill bit to release the belt tensioner.
- Fit the engine mounting. See Figure . Tighten to 36 Ft. Lbs. (47 N.m).
- Attach the power steering hose with the clip.
- Remove the jack. Rock the engine from side to side until it is in a balanced, neutral position.
- Fit the nut to the engine bracket. Tighten to 78 Ft. Lbs. (108 N.m).
- Start the engine and let it run at idle speed for a moment. Switch off the engine and check that the belt is correctly positioned.
