To remove

Remove the fuel tank. Refer to FUEL TANK, EU
To prevent dirt entering the fuel system, clean the outside of the tank if necessary before removing the fuel pump.
Detach the connector.

Disconnect the quick couplings of the fuel line and return line using 83 95 261 TOOL, FUEL LINE . Plug the lines with 82 92 948 PLUGS, AC SYSTEM, KIT . Mark up the position of the fuel line and return line.
Remove the circlip. Turn anticlockwise. Take note of how the cable and hose couplings are routed in the fuel tank. Mark the position of the cover over the maintenance hole.
Carefully remove the cover from the maintenance hole. Unplug the connector from the fuel pump.

Remove the sealing ring.
Remove the fuel pump housing by pressing in the three catches and pulling the fuel pump out of the reservoir.

Remove the fuel hose from the pump.
Carefully lift up the fuel pump and place it in a receptacle.
