To remove

  1. Reduce the oil pressure by removing fuse 2 for the fuel pump while the engine is running (fuse 2 is located in the main fuse box in front of the battery). Once the engine has stopped, turn the ignition key to LOCK and refit the fuse.

  2. Remove the upper engine cover.

  3. Remove the cover over the ignition coils.
  4. Remove the nuts on the cable duct.

  5. Remove the vacuum hose.

  6. Carefully move the coolant pipe to one side. Undo the fuel pressure regulator bolts, remove the front bolt and loosen the rear bolt about 5 mm.
  7. Remove the fuel pressure regulator. Collect any fuel spill with a rag.
