Pos. 1  Bxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Engine type: 
B = Petrol engine
Pos. 2-3  x30xxxxxxxxxxxx Swept volume: 
30 = 2.962 dm 3
Pos. 4  xxx8xxxxxxxxxxx Cylinder head: 
8 = Six cylinders, V configuration, two cylinder heads with twin camshafts per cylinder head and four valves per cylinder

I = Fuel injection
