Cable Adjuster

- Apply the parking brake in order to stretch the cables. Release the lever to its lowermost position. Raise the car.
- Check the distance between the lever and the stop. See Fig 1. It should be about .039" (1.0 mm). If it is not, place a 1.0 mm feeler gauge between the lever and the stop on the brake caliper on each side.
- Lower the car slightly.
- Open the armrest lid. Remove the coin holder.
- Tighten the adjusting nut until the feeler gauge comes loose from the brake caliper.
- Install the coin holder and close the lid.
- Press hard on the brake pedal 3 times.
- Apply the parking brake and check that it brakes on both wheels.
- Release the parking brake and check that both wheels rotate freely.
- Lower the car.
