Technical Description: Acc

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2001 Saab 9-3. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The STC control module continuously sends out bus information on the position of the soft top, i.e. raised, in motion or lowered.

Information is used by ACC which assumes the following condition when the soft top is unlocked from the windscreen frame.

When the soft top is raised, the ACC system resumes the settings it had before the soft top was lowered, provided that the ignition has not been turned off during that time. If the ignition has been turned off when the soft top was down, the ACC will assume the AUTO position when the soft top is closed.

All manual selections except electrically heated rear window/door mirrors and recirculation can be performed while the soft top is down.
